I’m back with another wood slice project! Yes, 2 in a row…crazy! I love finding ways to repurpose kids art into useful and cute decor items that you and your kiddos will be proud to display at home. My most recent attempt at this was my kids art furniture makeover. Well, I did it again by taking some paintings that my daughter made and turning them into wood slice coasters! This would be a great gift for that teacher, dad, mom, grandma or really anyone in your life.
It’s easy to turn kids’ artwork into wood slice coasters! These kid art coasters are so easy to make and give away! All you need are a few supplies to make these easy DIY coasters.
Kids Art Coasters
Materials:
- Small Wood Slices
- Kids drawings or paintings
- Mod Podge
- Scissors or craft knife
Stepe One: Using the wood slices as a guide, cut out the kids art using a craft knife or scissors.
Step Two: Brush a layer of Mod Podge onto the wood slices.
Step Three: Lay the art on top of the wood and brush on another layer of Mod Podge.
Step Four: Allow it to dry and then brush on a few more coats, allowing to dry between each layer.
And you are ready to gift them or display them. Aren’t they the cutest?
