Let’s celebrate the wonderful members of our community with this Community Helpers Craft that’s just as one-of-a-kind as they are! This community helpers preschool craft is super easy to make using our community helpers craft template and it looks adorable (especially the photo version!)
You could also colour our not all heroes wear capes printable to recognise those real life superheroes that walk amongst us or take on some of their roles with our dramatic play sets.
It’s an easy craft to do with preschoolers without the need to use expensive materials or complicated steps. You’ll just need our awesome free printable community helpers craft template (you can download it below!) and some markers and cardstock. Easy-peasy!
We’ve included a few different community helpers for the kids to choose from in this mix-and-match paper craft, but feel free to make your own too! If you want to take this craft project to another level, you can use a headshot of your child and make him a community superhero too!
It’s no secret kids get a kick out of mix-and-match crafts, especially when you add the extra-special detail of including their headshot on the craft! Don’t forget to check out more of our fun paper crafts with ix and match templates, I love our mix-and-match all about me craft and our mix-and-match superhero craft!

Community Helpers Craft – Instructions:
STEP 1 – Grab the community helper craft template:
Scroll to the bottom of this post to download the free Community Helpers printable template. Print it out on cardstock and gather the rest of your supplies.
STEP 2 – Chose your community helper & color.
Show your little ones all the community helpers on the templates and let them choose their favourite one. Then invite them to color all the coordinating pieces for the chosen helper.
To make this craft even more unique, you can add a headshot of your little one instead of the pre drawn head. Kids will love to see themselves in this craft!
STEP 3 – Cut out and glue the community helper pieces:
Once coloured, cut all the pieces out with scissors.
Attach the legs and arms to the body using glue.
To complete your community helper craft take the hat and glue it onto the head (either the head from the template or a photograph) . If using the template add google eyes and, using a marker, draw a smile to complete this helper’s face.
You’re all done, your community helpers craft is now complete! Make one community helper or the full set, the choice is yours!
